Wolves picked up a useful point away at Newcastle but many fans think they could have had all three if it wasn’t for poor decision making by Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Portuguese boss set-up with his usual style of three-at-the-back, with Matt Doherty replacing Willy Boly in the heart of defence after the centre-back broke his leg in training on Saturday.
However, some fans believe the negativity of their manager, and the choice to limit the Irishman as an attacking threat, contributed to a poor first half display which saw the Wanderers 1-0 down at the break.
A much improved second half, with Doherty and Adama Traore combining well down the right, led the visitors to create several chances, and that ultimately produced the equalising goal.
Despite that, some fans think Newcastle were there for the taking, and considering they had scored five goals in nine league games prior to the fixture, it is difficult to sympathise with Nuno’s restrictive set-up.
