Orlando City secured a 2-1 away victory against LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park on March 29. The Galaxy opened the scoring in the 14th minute through Christian Ramírez, but they failed to hold on as Orlando City equalized in the 76th minute. This came via a Martín Ojeda penalty kick after Eduard Atuesta was fouled in the box. The winning goal came in the 90th minute from Luis Muriel, who scored directly from a free kick after goalkeeper John McCarthy fumbled the ball.
