Troy Parrott was given his big chance to impress Jose Mourinho during Tottenham Hotspur’s FA Cup tie against Norwich City.
The 18-year-old replaced Dele Alli in the 96th minute, but failed to make a single key pass or dribble, while he also didn’t get any shots off, topping off his underwhelming game by having his penalty saved by Tim Krul.
Jose Mourinho took this as a sign to provide some fairly harsh words on the teenager after the game, as reported by football.london.

Fans have been left furious by the comment, with one questioning “which manager talks about his young players like this”, while another said he has a “gargantuan” agenda against the Irishman.
Mourinho has shown that he is willing to trust youngsters if he feels they are ready, playing Japhet Tanganga in five Premier League games.
No clues whatsoever: Which seasons do these iconic Spurs images belong to?
However, fans feel that this comment highlights his inability to properly nurture the potential that Parrott possesses.
There are other fans who have slated the Portuguese tactician more generally, with one declaring they are “done with Mourinho”, while another referenced his “arrogance”.
One has gone as far as to say he has “nearly finished ripping the soul out of our club within six months”.
With all of the above considered, it is safe to say that Mourinho hasn’t helped his reputation among the fans with his comment.
Meanwhile, Spurs fans have made a u-turn on one man.
