Diallo gained widespread recognition during the previous campaign when his memorable performance in the FA Cup quarter-final saw him net the game-winning goal against Liverpool. That victory cemented his place in the hearts of the Old Trafford crowd, and he has since been building on that momentum.

With Brazilian winger Antony struggling to maintain form, Amad has emerged as the preferred choice for Erik ten Hag on the right flank. He has started in six of Manchester United's first eight matches across all competitions and was also awarded the club's Player of the Month gong for his contributions in August.

When asked to define his season so far in one word, Amad chose to say: "Happy."
The Player of the Month award meant a lot to Diallo, and he made sure to acknowledge the supporters who have backed him during difficult times.
He added: "I’m so happy to start like this and I want to step up and continue like this until the end of the season. I’m in a good moment. I’m confident and the Player of the Month, I was so happy to have it. As I said before, I want to step up and continue like this. The fans give me a lot of love and I want to thank them for the love and for giving me confidence. Even when I was not playing, they wanted to give me confidence, to give me the love and to bring me the energy. I’m so happy to have the fans with the team and I want to thank them again.”
