Everton fans have been debating their managerial situation after Paulo Fonseca admitted he is open to a move away from Shakhtar Donetsk.
Football fans always want their club to be moving forward, and Everton fans have been discussing a move for Paulo Fonseca as they grow more and more infuriated with Sam Allardyce.
Allardyce was brought in to stabilise the club after Koeman’s exit, but stabilisation has quickly turned to stagnation.
Despite some good recent results, fans are tired of the manager’s negative tactics and the fact that he doesn’t really seem to understand the club and what it means to the fans.
There have been plenty of links to Shakhtar’s Paulo Fonseca since the turn of the year, and fans seem pretty interested. The 45 year-old has impressed with his fast attacking football, which took Shakhtar through a tough Champions League group and into the last 16.
Fonseca recently spoke to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, and it certainly sounds like he’s open to a move.
“There have been invitations, but I have to think about what is best for me and for my career,” Fonseca said.
“The championship is going on and I want to decide what is best to continue my career. I’m focused on Shakhtar, I want to finish first and then I’ll think about the rest.
Fonseca has not signed a new contract in Donetsk despite multiple offers, and his comments suggest he is looking to “continue” his career with a greater challenge after his team win the title.
