The only negative from Manchester United’s 3-0 win over FC Basel in the Champions League was Paul Pogba’s hamstring injury, which saw him withdrawn from the midweek action early in the first half.
Although we don’t yet know how long the France international will be out for, it’s clear he won’t take part in the Red Devils’ Premier League clash with Everton on Sunday.
That leaves Jose Mourinho facing a bit of a selection dilemma. His side have mostly lined up in a 4-2-3-1 formation this season, meaning there is an opening in midfield alongside Nemanja Matic – who has already made himself one of the first names on the team-sheet.
Marouane Fellaini, who Transfermarkt value at £10.8million, came off the bench to fill Pogba’s void on Tuesday night and grabbed a goal before assisting Marcus Rashford’s late strike.
But Mourinho also has last season’s Player of the Year, two-cap Spaniard Ander Herrera, and the supremely experienced 36-year-old Michael Carrick to call upon.
So, United fans, who would you start alongside Matic against Everton on Sunday? Let us know by voting below…
