Carlos Sanchez could be loaned out or sold by West Ham United during the January transfer window, as reported by The Daily Mail.
What’s the story?
West Ham may allow the Colombian to leave during the summer, as he has played just 40 minutes of Premier League football this season.

His contract with the Hammers comes to an end in the summer of 2020, so they may opt to take a fee – even if it is a modest one – while they can.
It says a lot about his current role that before coming on for the final 26 minutes of the loss against Tottenham Hotspur, he had not played more than seven minutes in one league match.

An opportunity for Coventry
Conor Coventry has had a dispute with the club over his contract situation, as West Ham are wary of meeting his demands due to the fact he hasn’t shown he can excel in the Premier League, as reported by Football Insider.
The Republic of Ireland U21 international’s only first-team game time to date has come from two Carabao Cup substitute appearances.
By offloading Sanchez, the Hammers could give Coventry the chance to fulfil his role as a regular on the bench, meaning he could get some semi-regular minutes in the league.
This means that not only would selling the South American allow the club to save funds on wages that could be reinvested, but it could finally give Coventry the chance to prove himself to Pellegrini in league football.
